Airtel reveals that customers can enjoy high-speed internet browsing and perform other activities while being thousands of feet above ground. The telecom network has tied up with AeroMobile to offer in-flight connectivity.
In-flight connectivity is available with over 19 airlines flying in different international sectors. The company has also setup a dedicated 24 x 7 contact centre, which also offers support through WhatsApp.
The dedicated support through WhatsApp can be accessed by sending a message to +919910099100. The Airtel Thanks app will serve as a platform for managing data usage and purchasing additional benefits.
Airtel In-flight Roaming Packs Details and Steps to Enable Service
The telecom network confirms that postpaid customers who have recharged the roaming plans priced at Rs 3,999 and above will be automatically eligible for in-flight roaming packs without any extra charges.
Prepaid customers who have recharged roaming plans priced at Rs 2,997 and above will also be eligible for the in-flight roaming packs. The plans offer a limited amount of data, outgoing calls, and outgoing SMS with limited validity.
The in-flight plans may serve as an option for economy-class passengers to surf the internet, who generally don’t receive free internet onboard. The service can be accessed by following the below-mentioned steps.
- Switch off Airplane mode and turn on Data Roaming in Settings.
- The smartphone will automatically connect to the AeroMobile network. The network can be manually selected if it doesn’t automatically connect.
